Philips introduced the Momentum 5000 27M1F5500P, a companion to the Momentum 5000 27M1N3500LS which the company also unveiled recently. In short, the Momentum 5000 27M1F5500P is a slightly costly alternative to the Philips 27M1N3500LS (approx. £406 on Amazon). Given that the Philips 27M1F5500P is an expensive monitor, it’s no surprise that Philips has packed a lot of gaming-focused features into it.

Specifically, the new Philips gaming monitor relies on a 27-inch Nano IPS with a W-LED backlight system. According to Philips, the 27-inch panel has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a maximum frequency of 240 Hz. However, it can only reach 240 Hz on DisplayPort, for which it has two DisplayPort 1.4 connections. Additionally, the monitor hits 144Hz when connected to a device through one of its two HDMI 2.0 ports. Either way, the Momentum 5000 27M1F5500P offers 1ms GtG response times, low input lag mode, and a peak brightness of 450 cd/m².

That said, the Philips 27M1F5500P is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified, so it should deliver up to 600 cd/m². Additionally, Philips claims that it has Delta E deviations of less than 2 and covers a minimum of 98% of the DCI-P3 color space. In addition, the 240 Hz monitor has four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, an upstream USB Type-B connection, and a 3.5 mm audio output. Additionally, Philips has included a stand that can swivel, rotate, and tilt and is height adjustable by 130mm.
