Philips 27E1N8900: Elevate Your Viewing Experience with OLED Technology

The Philips 27E1N8900 is a 27 inch 4K OLED monitor that the company has aimed at business users. As such, the Momentum 8000 27E1N8900 does not offer gaming features like a high refresh rate. However, it has an OLED panel, 4K output, and a G2G response time of 0.1 ms.

The Philips 27E1N8900 also has plenty of ports, including a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C connection for charging devices at up to 90 watts. A 27 inch 4K monitor offers 3860 x 2160 resolution and 60Hz. While there are plenty of 27-inch and 4K monitors out there, few rely on an OLED panel like the 27E1N8900. As a result, the 27E1N8900 offers excellent color accuracy and a high contrast ratio.

The Philips 27E1N8900 theoretically has a contrast ratio of 1,000,000, while Philips boasts a minimum coverage of 99.7% of the DCI-P3 color space. Typically, the OLED monitor 4K should deliver 99.6% coverage for AdobeRGB, 119% for NTSC, and 150% for sRGB, with Delta E deviations less than 1. Additionally, the 27E1N8900 is DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified and has a G2G response time of 0.1ms.

As such, the 4K OLED monitor peaks at over 400 cd/m², but only when viewing HDR content. Specifically, Philips claims that the 27E1N8900 delivers up to 540 cd/m² peak brightness and only 250 cd/m² in SDR content.
