Pergear 35mm f1.4 Full-Frame lens launched

Pergear has announced the new 35mm f1.4 manual focus full-frame lens for Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Leica L mounts. The company says this new all-metal lens has a compact and stylish form factor that retro enthusiasts will appreciate.

The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 30 centimeters and offers a 63.2-degree field of view, which the company says is ideal for still life, close-up, street, and travel photography.

This lightweight (245g) lens features a click aperture ring that provides the necessary resistance when adjusting the 10-blade aperture from f/16 to f/1.4. The company also claims that the maximum aperture of 1.4 allows excellent control over depth of field and low-light performance.

The 6 by 5-centimeter lens consists of seven elements in five groups. The front lens glass is multi-coated to reduce lens flare and ghosting to improve visual contrast and color accuracy when shooting in bright or harsh lighting conditions. For those who want to use filters on it, the new lens has a 43mm thread.

The front lens has a multi-layer coating, to suppress flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions. The included lens hood provides some protection for the lens but more so, helps to prevent stray light from causing flare.
