Pergear 12mm F2 Wide Angle Lens for Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds, Nikon Z, and Sony E mount

Pergear announced the release of a new Pergear 12mm F2 manual focus wide angle lens for Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds, Nikon Z, and Sony E mount. Its construction consists of 12 elements in 9 groups, including two aspherical elements and two low wave high refractive elements. 

A 12mm focus distance provides 35mm equivalent 18mm on Fujifilm X, Nikon Z, and Sony E mount cameras and 24mm on MFT mount cameras. 

The company warns that the wide lens is not suitable for use with full-frame Sony A7, A7II, A7R, A7RII, A7S, A7SII, Nikon Z6, and Z7 cameras, if you still want to try it with them, you must switch to APS-C format in the settings. In addition, to shoot with this lens, you need to enable shooting “without a lens” in the camera settings.

The Pergear 12mm F2 wide angle lens can be purchased on Amazon.com for $165.99, for any of the mount listed above. The package includes a front lens cap, rear lens cap, lens bag, and pergear mini air blower.

It is disappointing that many Chinese optics manufacturers are too lazy to give examples of images that can be obtained with one or the other optics. Nothing overly artistic is required from them, we would just like to know how much it distorts the shrinking space, and also to see the possible vignetting around the edges. Of course, it is difficult to draw any conclusions from this, but it is good that at least one is there, we hope it was taken from this lens.

Recently, Pergear has also launched a 35mm F1.2 lens for Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon EF, and Nikon Z mount. The new 35mm lens has a full metal body, compact and lightweight housing that weighs only 210 grams.
