The Pepsi P1 for $200 is no longer a rumor which is likely to officially appear in some days. Today, we have information on the Pepsi can jump into the smartphone market with a new product called Pepsi P1. This is an unexpected information and seem to leak by the Weibo so its accuracy is not high enough to make people believe.
After this information, Pepsi has the official answer in an interview with Reuters, the official representative of Pepsi confirmed that the Pepsi phone will be available in China only, this effort is similar to recent globally licensed Pepsi products which include apparel and accessories.
According to the leaked information, Pepsi P1 will be a smartphone with a 5.5-inch screen, Full-HD resolution, using a MediaTek MT6592 processor, Octa-core chip is clocked at 1.7 GHz. The device equipped with 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, while there is a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front snapper. Pepsi P1 packs a 3000mAh battery and will have pre-installed Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
Pepsi P1 will be released on 20th October in China, with an estimated selling price around $200.
