QNAP Systems introduced the QXP-1600eS-A1164 expansion card. It allows you to add four external SATA ports to your system configuration. Designed for TL series SATA JBOD expansion modules, the PCI expansion card is compatible with NAS, PC, and servers with PCIe slots. It does not require any drivers.
The PCIe Gen3 x8 card can be used as a QNAP SATA JBOD (supported in QTS 4.5.4 or QuTS hero h4.5.4), including configuring RAID settings and creating a storage pool using the Storage and Snapshots application. If the QXP-1600eS-A1164 card is installed on a Windows or Ubuntu computer, you can use the QNAP JBOD Manager desktop utility to quickly get and view information about JBOD status, health, fan speed, and to check for firmware updates.
