Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 Rugged Tablet with Android M Announced

The company on Thursday launched the Toughpad FZ-A2, which in addition to extreme durability also offers top-of-the-line specifications. Designed for enterprises and businesses, the biggest attraction of the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 is, of course, its durability. The company says that the rugged tablet has achieved an IP65 rating for protection from dust and water, and it can withstand drops from up to 5 feet in height. As per the company, the battery life is on the tablet is up to 9 hours, which comes with a hot swap capable with bridge battery. On the camera front, the tablet comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling.

As for the specifications, the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 comes sporting a 10.1-inch WUXGA resolution daylight-readable screen with 10-point capacitive touch and 800 nit high brightness. It is powered by Intel Atom™ x5-Z8550 processor (2M Cache, 1.44 GHz up to 2.4 GHz), and 4GB of RAM. It features a 32GB of native storage. The tablet comes with a range of input ports including Full-sized HDMI out, USB A 3.0 and USB C 3.1, Dual Microphones, MicroSD, Integrated passive pen and holder.

For wireless connectivity is also available with Wi-Fi with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2 LE, and GPS. On the software side, the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Notably, optional features are Integrated casing configurations for barcode reader or second USB, Integrated Smart Card Reader, AT&T or Verizon WWAN with 4G LTE, Dual Pass-Through Antenna for exceptional connectivity.
