Panasonic unveils Toughbook G2 Modular Rugged Windows Tablet

Panasonic has expanded its range of rugged tablets with the introduction of the new Toughbook G2 rugged tablet. A special feature of the rugged windows tablet is its modular design, which allows you to expand the functionality of the tablet by connecting a keyboard, an additional SSD drive, a barcode reader, a thermal imaging camera, and much more.

The Toughbook laptop G2 comes with an enterprise-grade platform featuring a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10310U vPro or i7-10810U vPro processor paired with 16GB or 32GB of RAM and a 512GB or 1TB MVMe SSD. The Tough book tablet runs Windows 10 Pro and can be upgraded to Windows 11. The Panasonic PC is equipped with a 10.1-inch touch screen with a maximum brightness of 1000 cd/m², stylus support, and a choice of modes for working with gloves and in rainy weather.

The Toughbook G2 rugged tablet measures 279 x 188 x 23.5 mm and weighs about 1.2 kg. The body of the device meets the requirements of the US military standard MIL-STD 810H and is protected against water and dust with an IP65 rating. The front of the tablet houses a 2MP IR camera compatible with Windows Hello, while the back houses an 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash.

The Panasonic rugged windows tablet is equipped with a selectable 50 or 68 Whr removable battery, which provides up to 12 or 18.5 hours of battery life. The new battery is hot-swappable, which allows you to replace it without turning off the device. The rugged tablet also received support for 4G networks, has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS modules, as well as 88 dB speakers.

Panasonic Toughbook G2’s price starts at $2,890 and is now available to buy at the Amazon.com website.
