This is a wide-angle lens for mirrorless Micro Four Thirds digital cameras (not including 8mm Fish Eye), a 24mm equivalent focal length on a full frame sensor. This is the 6th of Leica lens based on the Panasonic lens system, which adds a wide-angle focal length and improve image quality for Micro Four Thirds standards. The metal construction of the lens is durable as well as dustproof and waterproof, but it only works when you paired with the waterproof camera body.

Inside it 2 aspherical lens elements, 2 UED (Ultra Extra-Low Dispersion) elements and 1 ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) element. A total of 15 elements in 12 groups and Panasonic is very confident on this lens has high optical quality, low distortion and achieves high resolution from the center of the image to the corners by suppressing flare.

Panasonic Leica DG 12mm f/1.4 lens has 9 rounded diaphragm blades for smooth bokeh and to ensure that you can adjust the aperture through the lens when it comes with an aperture ring for direct, intuitive aperture control. It also incorporates a smooth and quiet autofocus motor for smooth and silent operation. It is also compatible with the sensor drive at a maximum of 240fps to take full advantage of cameras with high-speed AF.
