Panasonic has introduced the CMZ50, a new ultra-short-throw laser projector that has the unique feature of projecting an 80-inch image with up to 5,200 lumens of brightness from a distance of just 1 cm from the screen.

The projector has an LCD with a native resolution of WUXGA (1920 x 1200) and can process widescreen resolutions of 2,560 x 1,080 pixels (21:9) and 3,240 x 1,080 pixels (27:9). It also has a dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1.

It is available with black or white housing and has digital zoom and horizontal and vertical keystone corrections for image alignment. The light source has a lifetime of 20,000 hours in Normal and Quiet modes and 24,000 hours in Eco mode.

In addition to the 10-watt speaker, the Panasonic CMZ50 has several connections including HDMI with CEC, D-Sub 15, RJ-45, RS232C, and USB-A. The projector is also extremely quiet in operation with a noise level of 26 dB in Quiet mode. There are various mounting solutions available as an option.
