OPPO’s much-anticipated R9 and R9 Plus flagship smartphones are set to launch on Today at an event in China. Merely a few hours ahead of the launch, the Oppo R9 and R9 Plus have been listed by Oppo Mart online retailer.
According to the retailer, the Oppo R9 will be priced at $499, while the R9 Plus is listed at $599. The R9 will feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and is fueled by MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 2.0 GHz; 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
On imaging features, R9 bears a 16-megapixel Sony Exmor RS IMX298 camera sensor on the back with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and LED flash. The listing adds that the smartphone is also sporting a fingerprint sensor located on Home button which claims to unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds. It packs in 2850mAh battery under the hood with VOOC fast charging tech.
The Oppo R9 Plus, on the other hand, is said to pack same innards as the R9, The biggest difference however is said to be the screen size, the R9 Plus is likely to feature a 6.0-inch AMOLED display and is 1.95 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 64-bit processor clubbed with Adreno 425 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. The handset packs in massive 4210mAh battery under the hood with Super VOOC Rapid charging tech.
