Oppo appears set to launch a new smartphone in its budget A series, the Oppo A37. The device was recently spotted as Oppo A37m on Chinese certification site – Tenaa. The handset is currently available listed on third-party online store in USA, via the Amazon store. Meanwhile Oppo Phone USA has not yet made an official announcement about the handset. Oppo A37 price in USA is $258, which is slightly higher when compared to other budget Oppo mobile phones.

This new Oppo device features 5.0-inch AMOLED display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution that can convey a pixel density of 294ppi and high 450cd/m2 screen brightness. The A37 is powered by the 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6750 chipset is accompanies a faster clock rate of 1.5 GHz. It also comes with a powerful Mali-T860 GPU along with 2GB of RAM which makes it more proficient at multitasking and 16GB of native storage which can be further expanded via microSD card up to 64GB.

On the camera front, the A37 flaunts an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens and LED flash. It can shoot video in 1080p at 30 frames per second. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a large f/2.4 aperture for wide group selfie and video calling. Other camera functions including Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR, professional mode, filters, GIF animation, Face beauty, continuous shooting, and more.

The A37 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with company’s own ColorOS 3.0 and packs a 2630mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 12 hours of talk time and standby time up to 11 days. The device features metal uni-body housing with 2.5D curved screen layer on top of it. It measures 143.1 x 71 x 7.68 mm and weighs 140 grams.
