Onkyo has offered the budget AV receiver TX-SR3100 with a $50 discount on various online stores. It supports HDMI 2.1a, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ at a reasonable price.

The TX-SR3100 from Onkyo is an AV receiver with 5.2 channels. This means that it can play a classic surround setup with a center, two front, and two rear speakers paired with up to two subwoofers. Alternatively, a 3.2.2 channel setting can also be used. 155 watts (6 ohms) are available per channel.
The 5.2-channel amplifier from Onkyo supports the current standards Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, DTS Virtual:X, and Neural:X, also handles Dolby Vision and HDR10+ and can enhance input material with Dolby Atmos Height/Surround Virtualizer. This technology creates virtual immersive sound effects regardless of the sound source and speaker setting.
The company’s AccuEQ Room Calibration technology adjusts to the environment. If desired, the Vocal Enhancer technology emphasizes voices. The Music Optimizer DSP mode can reconstruct compressed music almost to its original quality, according to the manufacturer.

The Onkyo TX-SR3100 has four HDMI inputs on the back. It supports the new HDMI 2.1a standard including 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz, and HDCP2.3. This allows connection of up to four devices, like game consoles and streaming sticks, to the AV receiver. An HDMI output is available for connecting a television or projector. A few other inputs and Bluetooth as a wireless interface round off the features of the new Onkyo TX-SR3100.
