Onkyo A-9150 Stereo Amplifier with Phono MM/MC Announced

Onkyo has announced the release of new stereo amplifier A-9150, the model that will replace the current A-9050. The power output is equal to 60W per channel (4 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, 0.08% THD, 2 channels drive, IEC). The Onkyo amplifier uses a high capacity transformer and two large custom capacitors. Onkyo has introduced a DIDRC filter (Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry) that eliminates the noise at high frequencies. The digital-to-analog conversion is entrusted to the 768 kHz/32-bit DAC (AK4452).

Rediscover the vitality of analog with MM/MC phono input served by dedicated equalizers on a separate circuit board, with custom head-amp operating in discrete configuration for MC signals. By connecting an Onkyo component with RI jack to the unit by using an RI cable and a digital cable or an RCA cable, you can link the unit’s power and input selection and enable operation with this unit’s remote controller.

The key to this sense of realism is Discrete SpectraModule, which boasts a slew rate of more than 500 V/µs for flat linearity up to megahertz bandwidth. An audio input includes two optical and two coaxial digital inputs (support signals up to 192kHz / 24-bit), a phono MM / MC input, and a 6.3 mm headphone jack.
