Along with the OM-D E-M1 Mark III camera and 12-45mm F4 Pro lens Olympus now brings the PEN E-PL10 Micro Four Thirds camera in USA, which was first introduced in Japan and China and now the Olympus PEN camera has become available to North American customers.
Recall that the Olympus PEN E-PL10 is visually no different from the PEN E-PL9. However, unlike the PEN E-PL9, the 3-inch E-PL10 touch screen with a resolution of 1040 thousand points now goes down (instead of up) for easy recording of videos and selfies.
The PEN E-PL10 camera is equipped with the same 16.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor, which is located inside the PEN E-PL9, as well as the TruePic VIII image processor, 3-axis image stabilization (CIPA rating for compensation up to 3.5 steps) and an autofocus system with detecting contrast. It has the same burst speed of 8.6 fps and 4K video shooting at speeds up to 30 fps.
The E-PL10 4/3 camera features built-in pop-up flash, a wide array of expressive photography functions, compact, lightweight body with in-body Image Stabilization and a 180-degree flip-down LCD screen with step-by-step touch menu interface to guide the user as they capture beautiful photos in any situation.
It packs Wi-Fi, Bluetooth in conjunction with the Olympus Image Share (OI.Share) smartphone app, the camera easily connects to a smartphone to transfer images and share them on social media. The Olympus PEN E-PL10 also features four primary assist options on the mode dial that cater to users based on skill level: Auto, Scene (SCN), Advanced Photo (AP) and Art Filters (ART).
The Olympus PEN E-PL10 is equipped with 3-Axis in-body Image Stabilization, allowing the user to capture blur-free photos handheld without the need for a tripod, even in situations where camera shake can cause blur nighttime photography, dim indoor situations, while shooting video or when using a telephoto or macro lens). The PEN-E-PL10 captures smooth UHD 4K 30p video for ultra-high-resolution capture, no stabilizing gear needed. In-Movie Capture allows the user to capture an 8MP image from a 4K video.
