Nvidia SHIELD TV can be controlled with Amazon Alexa now in the United States. According to Nvidia, the Android TV box is now compatible with both the Google Home and Amazon Echo products. Along with all these, of course, the usual commands integrated into the SHIELD with Google Assistant.
The list of commands available is quite large: you can tell Alexa to turn off / turn on the device, set the volume to a certain level, start playing certain content from specific apps, open apps and games, check the reproduction and much more.
To activate the service, you must first install/enable the skill from Alexa. You can do it from the Android or iOS app, looking for the “NVIDIA SHIELD TV” skill.
The promotion offer is currently available in the United States, whereby buying a SHIELD TV you will receive the third generation Amazon Echo Dot smart speaker for free from Amazon.
