HMD Global has introduced the new Nokia 2.1 smartphone at the event organized by the company in Moscow. It is a successor of last year’s Nokia 2 device and represents the low-end offer for budget users. It is Android Go edition device comes with a 5.5-inch HD display, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera and Snapdragon 425 SoC.

The Nokia 2.1 price has been set at $115 and will be available from July 2018. The handset comes in Blue/Copper, Blue/Silver, and Grey/Silver color options.

The Nokia 2.1 features a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution display with anti-fingerprint coating. It has a polycarbonate back with a rounded design, metallic accents, dual front-facing stereo speakers with 3D formed stainless steel detail. The device is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 425 chipset with Adreno 308 GPU and 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It packs an 8GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB.
On the camera front, the 2.1 flaunts an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. For selfie, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) out of the box and which is also upgradable to Android P in the near future.
It packs a massive 4100mAh battery that promises up to 2 days of battery life. It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack and it measures 53.7 x 77.7 x 9.35 mm.
