Nikon has introduced the NIKKOR Z DX 24mm F1.7, a prime lens specifically designed for its mirrorless camera system and aimed at APS-C sensor users.

This new addition expands Nikon’s existing DX line of lenses, which previously consisted of zoom lenses with variable apertures. The NIKKOR Z DX 24mm F1.7 lens provides a field of view equivalent to 36mm on a full-frame camera.
Featuring a well-constructed optical formula comprising 9 elements arranged in 8 groups, this lens weighs a mere 135g and comes with a 46mm filter thread. It offers a 7-blade aperture range from f/1.7 to f/11, enabling photographers to capture a wide range of creative shots.
The DX 24mm F1.7 lens boasts a minimum focus distance of 11.9cm and achieves a maximum magnification of 0.19x, allowing for detailed close-up shots. Nikon has implemented a stepping motor in this lens to ensure quiet operation during video recording. Additionally, Nikon claims that the lens effectively reduces focus breathing when shooting video, enhancing the overall video shooting experience.
