With this lens, you can create images with large, natural bokeh at a maximum aperture of f/2.8, and capture high-quality images even in low light conditions. The lens effectively covers a wide range of scenes, from everyday shots to portraits and landscapes. According to the manufacturer, “It provides a variety of expressions for photography and video, allowing users to enjoy both soft and sharp rendering by adjusting the aperture value.”

Optically, the Z 28-75mm f2.8 consists of 15 elements in 12 groups, including three aspherical elements, one ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) element, and one Super ED element. The minimum shooting distance is 19 cm at 28 mm and 39 cm at 75 mm.

The lens covers more space with a 28mm focal length, it can shoot spectacular portraits with 75mm focal lengths. Constant aperture ensures consistent exposure throughout the zoom range and clarity in low light. Photographers can use faster shutter speeds in natural light.

Wide Z mount, constant f/2.8 aperture, and 9-blade rounded aperture for soft, natural bokeh. Closest focusing distances of just 0.19m at 28mm and 0.39m at 75mm. Focus is smooth, quiet, and sharp, even when shooting at close range.

There is practically no “focus breathing”, so changing focus will not have a noticeable effect on the angle of view. Aperture control is smooth, so the brightness changes when shooting movies look natural. The control ring turns smoothly, without clicking. It can be used to perform precise manual focusing or adjust aperture, ISO, or exposure compensation. The lens is dust and water-resistant and has an easy-to-clean coating.
