Nexus 5X with Android 6.0, Snapdragon 808 and USB Type-C Launched

Google officially launched the new Nexus 5X, this Nexus version will be designed and produced by LG. Google said the Nexus 5X will be one of the top performance smartphone, while ensuring an affordable price for everyone. Accordingly, the LG Nexus 5X will have two versions: 16GB and 32GB with prices $379 and $429 respectively, with additional service options such as 2-year protection warranty for $69. And go up for pre-order on Tuesday, will start shipping from later in October.

The Nexus 5X has a polycarbonate plastic back panel with rounded lines and sharp angles. Overall the device is divided into two parts: the back with three primary colors are black, white and bluish, while the front is completely black. When talking about the specifications, Nexus 5X features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display, a 1080p resolution. The device uses Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB of RAM, running Android 6.0 OS. It has a 12.3-megapixel primary camera with each pixel size is 1.55μm, dual LED flash, laser autofocus and also able to record 4K video. It packs a 2700mAh battery, also feature USB Type-C connector for data synchronization and fast charging.

The Nexus 5X comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor technology that Google called Nexus Imprint. Google said, “the sensor will recognise a print in less than 600 milliseconds, it will be much more aware of individual fingerprints of each person”. Reportedly, the new Nexus smartphones is the Android Sensor Hub, a low-power processor, which separately powers gesture, activity, and movement tracking using gleaned from specialized hardware including the camera.
