New Voices are Now Available on Google Assistant

Google took advantage of the Google I/O 2018 event to present some news to the wizard within Android. One of them is that it will be able to make calls to schedule any appointments, and the Assistant will also receive new voices to talk to users.

Now, a few days after the event, the new voices for Google Assistant are starting to become available in the United States. The company WaveNet, which is responsible for the voices of the application, announced today that the news is reaching all users gradually.

Google Assistant voices

Among the new voices, three are male and three female. Each one has a different tone and a specific talk speed. So the intent is for people to be able to choose a voice that best fits their personal tastes within the Wizard.

If you want to choose a new voice for Google Assistant, just follow the step below on your Android device:

Go to the Google App and look for the Menu, go to “Google Assistant Settings” and tap on “Preferences”. Now you can tap Voice Assistant and test voices 1-8.

For now, this feature is only available in the US English language, and no other has received the new voices. So, people from another region will have to wait for Google to make this feature available worldwide to access new voices of the Google Assistant.
