Samsung Electronics announced a software update is waiting for the Galaxy Buds, which gives them the capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus (Review).

In particular, the Microsoft Swift Pair feature is becoming available, which allows you to pair Galaxy Buds with PC running Windows 10 (version 1803 or later). Like the Galaxy Buds+, Galaxy Buds Samsung Earbuds can continue to be used with mobile devices (Easy Pair function), switching between mobile devices and a PC as needed.
The update automatically includes the Ambient Sound function, which allows you to hear ambient sounds in the Samsung ear buds, which may be necessary or just convenient in some situations. This feature is configured in the Galaxy Wearable app.
In addition, Spotify users can now instantly listen to personalized music on their Galaxy Earbuds with one simple Tap & Hold gesture (this feature must be pre-configured). Tap and hold again and Spotify will recommend playlists just for you so you can effortlessly discover your new favorite song through your Galaxy Buds.
To install the update you will need a smartphone with an Android L or higher version, equipped with not less than 1.5 GB of RAM, as well as the latest version of the Galaxy Wearable application.
