Sony, the renowned Japanese electronics leader, has introduced two new home theater projectors designed for a high-quality 4K theater experience. The Bravia Projector 8 (VPL-XW6100ES) and Bravia Projector 9 (VPL-XW8100ES) models have a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K) at up to 120 Hz.
Both new home theater projectors also support HDR10, including HLG, and can perform image optimizations from televisions via an XR processor, including XR Dynamic Tone Mapping.
The new business projector for home theater products covers 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space, promises high contrast values , and has an input lag of 12 ms in 4K120. While the Bravia projector 8 achieves up to 2700 lumens, the Bravia projector 9 even manages a maximum of 3400 lumens.
Both new home theater projectors also have keystone correction and a horizontal and vertical lens shift. The interfaces include HDMI 2.1 (with ALLM), RJ-45 (100 Mbit/s), RS232C and USB-A. Compatibility with home automation solutions from AMX, Control4, Crestron, and Savant is also guaranteed.

The Sony Bravia Projector 9, which is louder than 26 to 33 dB, draws 420 watts from the socket and has a recommended retail price of $31,999 on Bhphotovideo.com.
The Sony Bravia Projector 8 consumes 380 watts and operates at a noise level of 26 to 30 dB. It is available for pre-order on B&H Photo Video for $15,999. For those interested in laser projector price, this model is a top contender.
