New firmware update for Sony FE 35mm lenses, improved MF

Sony has released new firmware for the Full Frame duo Sonnar T* FE 35mm f/2.8 ZA and Distagon T* FE 35mm f/1.4 ZA lenses. New firmware will improves the reliability of the focus position when using the camera for long periods of time continuously in MF mode. Now Quick Start function also feature in this firmware, reducing boot time. You can download the firmware update for Sony FE 35mm F1 4 and Sony FE 35mm F2.8 Lens below:  

Download Firmware 2.0 for Sony Distagon T* FE 35mm f/1.4 ZA

Download Firmware 3.0 for Sony Sonnar T* FE 35mm f/2.8 ZA

Guide to Update:

1. Download the correct Firmware file into your computer.

2. Run the downloaded Firmware file.

3. Turn on the camera.

4. Unplug the memory card from the camera

5. Open the camera, go to Menu -> Setup -> USB Connection – > Enable Mass Storage

6. Connect the camera to the computer via USB cable.

7. Click the Next button and wait until connected

8. Verify the firmware version in the bottom left hand corner of the box.

9. Click next and the device will automatically update, when the update process completes, click finish, the camera screen will be displayed this message – “Updating the lens.. Do not turn off.
