The new Amazon Omni TV is the first model with a mini-LED backlight, which allows the smart TV to achieve a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. And Amazon is also expanding the popular Fire TV Soundbar with a premium model.
New Amazon Omni TV Mini-LED Series
The Amazon Mini-LED TV offers two major advantages: a peak brightness of 1,400 nits and up to 1,344 dimming zones, significantly enhancing the contrast ratio. This allows the new Omni televisions to achieve brightness levels comparable to those of the TCL QM7, one of its direct competitors.
Amazon’s 4K smart TV supports Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10 Plus Adaptive, allowing the screen brightness to adjust automatically to the environment, even when displaying HDR content. With a frame rate of 144 Hz and support for HDMI VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, the Smart TV is also ideal for gaming enthusiasts.
Artificial intelligence analyzes and optimizes screen content based on ambient light. Far-field microphones enable Alexa voice control without needing the remote. In standby mode, the TV can display widgets or artwork. New sensors will allow special screensavers to respond to movement near the Omni TVs.
The new Amazon Omni TV Mini-LED series is currently available in the US and UK. On Amazon.com, the 55-inch model is priced at $819.99, the 65-inch at $1,089.99, the 75-inch at $1,499.99, and the 85-inch at $2,099.99.
Meanwhile, Amazon.co.uk is offering significant discounts. The 55-inch model is priced at £649.99 (24% off), the 65-inch version at £949.99 (17% off), and the 75-inch model at £1,299.99 (19% off).
Amazon Fire TV Soundbar Plus
The brand new 3.1 soundbar Fire TV Soundbar Plus integrates a subwoofer, supports DTS:X, DTS TruVolume, and Dolby Atmos, and is available now. Amazon recommends the Soundbar Plus for immersive, room-filling audio in the living room or TV room.
The all-in-one soundbar, featuring an integrated subwoofer system (2x 15 watts), weighs around 4 kilograms. In comparison, the earlier Non-Plus model of the Amazon Soundbar features a 2.0 sound system and lacks a bass speaker.
The new Fire TV Soundbar Plus measures 94.0 x 13.2 x 6.4 centimeters. According to Amazon, its speakers deliver a total output of 135 watts. To create room-filling 3D surround sound, the soundbar supports DTS:X and Dolby Atmos. Additionally, it offers adjustable dialogue amplification and a frequency range of 60 Hz to 20 kHz.
The Dolby Atmos soundbar from Amazon features four preset listening modes—film, music, sport, and night—to optimize sound for different audio content. The Fire TV Soundbar Plus connects to smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth and to a TV using the included HDMI cable through the HDMI ARC/eARC port. You can control it with a remote when you pair it with Fire TV devices.
The new Fire TV Soundbar Plus is available for $249.99 on Amazon.com and £199.99 on Amazon.co.uk at an introductory price with up to 20% off. It comes with a remote control, HDMI 2.0 cable, power cable, two AAA batteries, a wall mounting set, and a quick start guide.
