MSI Summit MS321UP 4K UHD Monitor with DisplayHDR 600

With the MSI MS321UP, a new business 32 inch 4K monitor has been unveiled, that has an IPS panel with 4K resolution ( 3840 x 2160 pixels), a maximum refresh rate of 60 Hz, and DisplayHDR 600 certification.

The 32 inch monitor has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, the response time is 4 ms (grey to gray), the color depth is 10 bits (8 bits + FRC), and the typical brightness is 400 cd/m². According to the specs, 136 percent of the sRGB and 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space are covered.

There is no question of sync technology against tearing in games, but the device is not intended for gaming anyway. For connectivity, there are two HDMI 2.0b inputs, a DisplayPort 1.2, a USB 3.2 hub, a microphone input, a headphone output, an SD card reader, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and power delivery.

This is a KVM monitor, but apparently only on the software side via the MSI app “PI” (“Productivity Intelligence”), which also offers color profiles and various display customization options. The MSI MS321UP weighs 9.7 kg and features gold design accents, and can be rotated, tilted, and adjusted in height. A VESA mount (100 x 100 mm) is there, but a blue light filter and a flicker-free backlight are missing.
