MSI MAG B460 Torpedo Mainboard now available for $99.99

MSI has unveiled the MAG B460 Torpedo mainboard based on the Intel B460 chipset and equipped with an LGA1200 processor socket. The ATX size MSI mainboard draws power from a 24-pin ATX power connector and one 8-pin EPS connector. 

The processor power subsystem is 13-phase. The voltage regulators are equipped with heatsinks, just like the system logic chip. The MSI mainboard is equipped with one reinforced PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot connected to the processor, a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 (actually x4) slot connected to the B460 PCH, and two PCIe x1 slots. 

Storage connectivity is provided by two M.2 slots with PCI-Express 3.0 x4 interfaces and six SATA 6Gb/s ports. Note that one of the M.2 slots is equipped with a heatsink. On the board, you can also allocate a 2.5 GbE port on the Realtek 8125B controller and a sound subsystem on the Realtek ALC1200 codec, which includes a 7.1 output and a headphone amplifier. 

A set of CoreBoost features is available to the user, allowing more performance from the 10th generation Core processors that do not have a K in the designation, by easing power restrictions.

MSI has recently also unveiled the Optix MAG274R monitor for esports enthusiasts, uses a 27-inch IPS panel. According to the manufacturer, in the past, to get a short response time, it was necessary to use panels of the TN or VA type, inferior to IPS in image quality, but now this problem has been solved. The MSI Optix MAG274R has a 1ms response time.
