MSI is launching the MAG 346CQ, a new 34 QHD ultrawide monitor. Specifically, the 34-inch model features a curved VA panel with UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440p, 21:9). Additionally, it offers a maximum refresh rate of 180 Hz and a 4000:1 contrast ratio, which in turn should ensure rich black levels in games.
In addition, other key features of the new monitor include 10-bit color depth (8-bit + FRC), 300 cd/m² brightness, 100 percent sRGB, and just 75 percent DCI-P3. Moreover, thanks to Adaptive Sync, unsightly image tearing in games is effectively eliminated. If you use the monitor with a games console, you can use Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) or WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) at a maximum of 120 Hz. VRR (“Variable Refresh Rate”) and HDMI -CEC are also available.
In terms of interfaces, it offers two HDMI 2.0b inputs, one DisplayPort 1.4a, and a headphone output. DisplayPort can only support the full 180 Hz, while HDMI can only support a maximum of 100 Hz. Ergonomics are poor, with tilt, VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-reduced backlighting.

MSI has also launched the MAG 273QP X24 QD-OLED gaming monitor, which has a 26.5-inch panel, WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), a 240 Hz refresh rate, Display HDR True Black 400, ClearMR 13,000, and a 0.03 ms fast grayscale and is priced at $600.
