The MSI MAG 274CXF is a mid-range 27-inch 1080p gaming monitor equipped with a Rapid VA panel. This MSI display delivers a 4,000:1 contrast ratio and supports a native 280Hz refresh rate with a 0.5ms response time.
MSI has introduced another 27-inch 1080p monitor following several releases earlier this year. Recently, the company unveiled the MAG 275CQRF QD E2, a 2K, 180Hz model with a sleek black finish. Now, MSI offers the MAG 274CXF, a faster option with a lower resolution.
Specifically, the MSI MAG 274CXF sports a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, also known as 1080p or FHD. MSI’s product page states that it runs natively at 280Hz (Display Port) with 0.5ms GtG response times. However, the MSI monitor with a fast refresh rate can be delivered to 240Hz if used with HDMI. Additionally, MSI has integrated adaptive sync and AI image enhancement technologies.
The MAG 274CXF’s VA technology offers good contrast but sacrifices some color accuracy. In this case, the 1500R FHD curved gaming monitor offers a contrast ratio of 4,000:1 and covers 92% of the DCI-P3 color space. In addition, the 10-bit panel is expected to provide 300 nits of brightness.
