Taiwanese manufacturer MSI is launching the best OLED gaming monitor, supposedly the latest generation of QD-OLED technology. The monitor is advertised as featuring an optimized text display, among other things. Based on its feature set, the MSI MAG 273QP X24 features a 26.5-inch panel with WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), a 240 Hz refresh rate, Display HDR True Black 400, ClearMR 13,000, and 0.03 ms fast grayscale.
The new WQHD 2560×1440 model features include 10-bit color depth, 138 percent sRGB, 99 percent DCI-P3, 98 percent Adobe RGB, a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1, and a DeltaE value of less than 2. Brightness is 250 cd/m² (SDR, 100 percent APL), 450 cd/m² ( HDR, 10 percent APL), and 1,000 cd/m² (HDR, 3 percent APL). Adaptive Sync is included as an anti-tearing measure. Also included are an AI-supported black stabilizer (AI Vision), a smart crosshair overlay, and an Optix Scope.
On the connectivity side, the monitor offers two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4a, and a headphone output; moreover, all graphics interfaces support a full 240 Hz. In terms of ergonomics, it features tilt, swivel, height adjustment (up to 130 mm), and pivot functionality. Additionally, it supports VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm) and includes blue light filtering for added comfort. Picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes allow content from multiple sources to be displayed simultaneously.
A fanless custom heatsink cools the MSI MAG 273QP X24. It comes with a three-year warranty, including burn-in coverage, and can switch to a lower-resolution 24.5-inch display if needed to increase frame rates or reduce input lag. The company also advertises a firmware update function, but the device lacks a suitable USB port.
