The Taiwanese manufacturer MSI has a new affordable 1080p gaming monitor called MAG 255XFV on its website. The 24.5-inch VA panel display is a Rapid VA model with full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), 250 Hz refresh rate (overclocked), and 0.5 ms fast response time.
In addition to 100 percent sRGB and 78 percent DCI-P3, 10-bit color depth (8 bit + FRC), 250 cd/m² brightness and a 3000:1 contrast are promised. Adaptive Sync is responsible for tear-free gaming sessions. There is also an AI-supported black stabilizer (AI Vision) on board.
For connectivity, the high refresh rate gaming monitor includes two HDMI 2.0b inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4a, and a headphone output. Regarding ergonomics, MSI offers limited features, including only tilt adjustment, a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-reduced backlighting.
