Taiwanese manufacturer MSI has officially listed the new MAG 255F E20 gaming monitor on its website. According to the data sheet and product description, it is a Rapid IPS model. Moreover, the 24.5-inch monitor offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) with a maximum refresh rate of 200 Hz. Additionally, it supports HDR and promises a 0.5 ms grayscale transition.
Other features include a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m² typical brightness, 10-bit color depth (8-bit + FRC), and 100 percent sRGB. Adobe RGB and DCI-P3, meanwhile, are very poor at 83 and 79 percent, respectively. AMD FreeSync Premium is mentioned as an anti-tearing measure. Additionally, the interfaces include HDMI 2.0b inputs, which support Full HD at a maximum of 200 Hz. Moreover, the monitor features one DisplayPort 1.2a and a headphone output.
The 24.5-inch monitor’s tilt, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filter, and flicker-reduced backlight are modest ergonomically. Picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture functionality are available, however. An AI-supported black stabilizer (AI Vision) can brighten dark gaming areas.
