MSI GF65 Thin relies on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Graphics card

MSI has introduced a new gaming laptop named MSI GF65 Thin with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card, 15.6-inch FHD 144Hz IPS screen, Intel Core i7, and 2TB NVMe SSD.

Specifically, it is the MSI GF65 Thin (approx. $899 on Amazon), a 21.7 millimeter thin and 1.86-kilogram lightweight gaming notebook that is currently available with a maximum of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 with 6 GB GDDR6 graphics card. That is now changing, which was briefly shown on the Amazon.com website, the notebook now available with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 at pricing starts from $1,749.99.

According to our estimates, the performance should be roughly on par with a GeForce RTX 2070 Super or a GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q, depending on the cooling and the available TDP. Most games should be able to be played smoothly with a resolution of 1440p with maximum details. The NVIDIA GeForce 3060 GPU will be equipped with a GA106 GPU with 3,072 CUDA processing units and a TGP between 60 and 70 watts.

Apart from the new GeForce 3060 GPU, the MSI GF65 Thin offers well-known components, including a 144 Hz 15.6-inch 1080p display and an Intel Core i7-10750H with six cores, twelve threads, and clock frequencies of up to 5.0 GHz. There is also 16 GB of DDR4-3,200 RAM.
