MSI GE63VR and GE73VR Gaming Laptops at Computex 2017

The Computex 2017 exhibition in Taipei continues to reveal high-end gaming laptops, now MSI has announced new GE63VR and GE73VR gaming machines.


The MSI GE series has been from its very beginning one of the most beloved by the gaming enthusiast, and this new version takes on a look inspired by a sports car. More sharp lines and slim profile found on the new design. The company claims that the MSI GE63VR is the slimmest laptop on the market with 17.7mm thickness which packs GTX 1060 GPU and 15-inch display size.

The only difference between the GE63VR and MSI GE73VR is available to screen sizes, 15-inch and 17inch, respectively. HDR display panels on both gaming laptops offer a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a response time of just 3ms.


Both offer an Nvidia GPU. Specifically, we are talking about a GTX 1070 and SteelSeries keyboard with customizable backlighting, adjusting the color of the each button. We find the Dynaudio speakers, which five times louder than the normal speaker that we find on normal notebooks and 2 or 3 times greater than other gaming notebooks, these speakers are capable of reproducing multimedia contents with an increase of 50% in terms of quality compared to the previous generation.

Both MSI GE63VR and GE73VR laptop features cooling system with 5 heat pipes and a fan that’s enhanced for effective and silent heat dissipation. MSI hasn’t announced a price, and release date, as well as the company, also has yet to announce detailed specs of both devices.
