MSI Optix G271CQP WQHD monitor with 165 Hz and 1000R

Another new MSI 27 inch curved monitor for gaming is coming. It was christened Optix G271CQP and has a VA panel with WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), up to 165 Hz refresh rate, and extreme 1000 R curvature.

The VA monitor has a contrast ratio of 3000:1, the color depth is 10 bits (8 bits + FRC), and the brightness is 250 cd/m². The specs are silent about the gray change – only 1 ms MPRT (“Moving Picture Response Time”) has been mentioned.

The curved screen covers 110 percent of the sRGB color space and 85 percent of the DCI color space. FreeSync Premium is available to prevent tearing in games. The MSI 27 inch curved monitor is also advertised as “HDR-ready”, but you shouldn’t expect too much from this due to the poor brightness performance.

For connectivity, there are two HDMI 2.0b inputs, a DisplayPort 1.2a, and a headphone output. USB interfaces are missing. On the ergonomic side, rotation, tilt, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mount (75 x 75 mm), and blue light filtering are offered. The device also includes HDMI-CEC and a black stabilizer.
