MrSpeakers Ether 2 Headphones With Open-back, planar Magnetic Design Unveiled

Recently MrSpeakers has officially introduced its latest flagship headphone called Ether 2 at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest.

The emergence of Ether 2 did not end up inheriting the flagship version of the previous Ether headphones, coupled with powerful enhancements to give users a superior headset that defines “flagship”. MrSpeakers Ether 2 has an open-back, planar magnetic design with the new driver, motor, baffle, and headband.

Ether 2 adopts motor centered around TrueFlow technology with more improvements, plus new driver designs with 70% lower aluminum content than the existing Ether headphones. The headphones are about 100g (3.75 ounces) lighter than their Ether counterparts, but still have the same metal frame structure as most other MrSpeakers headphones, replacing the headphones with new material.

According to the introduction from MrSpeakers, “Ether 2 is not only the lightest full size planar magnetic headphone on the market and it may be the lightest top-of-the-line headphone from any high-end vendor.” A new all-metal headband rounds out the novel advances in design on the Ether 2, supplemented by a webbed headstrap. Ergonomic earpads further accent the fully metal earcups.

Ether 2 will come with a VIVO cable that is made from silver coated OFHC copper (including 1.8m wire and 3m wire). A cable comes with options like 1/4″ jack and 4-pin XLR, but also has other popular options like 2.5mm, 3.5mm, and 4.4mm.

MrSpeakers Ether 2 price has been set at £1,900 and it is now available on Amazon store.
