MIUI 9 Global Beta will be updated this week to version 7.12.28 introducing important news regarding “full display” devices. On the official forum, some advances have been published, waiting for the complete changelog to be released this Friday, December 29th.
MIUI 9 Global Beta 7.12.28 brings gestures to full display smartphones, with the aim of improving the user experience and making navigation between the different screens of your device even easier and smoother. From now on, the owners of Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus, Mi MIX and Mi MIX 2 will be able to perform the following gestures with their hand:
- Swipe from bottom to top to return to the Home screen
- Swipe from bottom to top and then stop for a second to access recent apps
- Swipe from left or right to the middle to return to the previous page
The gesture seems to offer to MIUI users an interaction similar to the one that happens on the iPhone X that is free of buttons and that some applications on the Play Store like (all-in-one Gesture). An implementation that seems interesting and could potentially appeal to many users. The Global Beta released this week also introduces important bug fixes:
- Fix – Top sites setting is restored automatically in Mi Browser
- Fix – Dual Apps for WhatsApp cannot add contact member from group
- Fix – App Vault FC
