Zhong Yi Optics has released the Mitakon Speedmaster 50mm F0.95 Leica M mount lens, which has an improved optical design specifically for Leica cameras.

Unlike Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Sony E mount versions, which consist of 10 elements in 7 groups, the Leica M mount model consists of 11 elements in 8 groups, including several extra-low dispersion elements. Also, the Leica version is equipped with a rangefinder communication system to assist with focusing.
Other features include a 9-blade aperture with an adjustment range of F0.95 to F16 and the closest focusing distance of 100 cm. The prime lens has a diameter of 75 mm, a length of 88 mm, and a weight of 675 g.
The lens supports rangefinder coupling and its manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 3.3′ away. Normal-length prime is well-suited to everyday shooting with subjects including portraiture, street, landscape, and reportage.
