More performance and a better display – Microsoft is updating its entry-level Surface Go 2020 tablet with reduced edges, the comparatively cheap Windows tablet looks a bit more modern and there are also important updates inside. Inside there is either a Pentium Gold 4425Y with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB eMMC memory or a Pentium variant with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD. If you want more power, you can also get an Intel Core m3 version of the 8th core generation and Qualcomm X16 LTE modem. However, there are other variants for corporate customers.
There are USB-C, Surface Connect, Micro-SD slot, and a 3.5 jack connection available, new keyboard covers are available in platinum gray, black, poppy red, or ice blue colors. Microsoft does not provide information on the battery but claims that the Go 2 will last 10 hours in typical use. New are Wi-Fi 6 support and Bluetooth 5.0, dimensions and weight remain roughly the same as the predecessor. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed in S mode, of course, corporate customers receive Windows 10 Pro.
