Micromax Dual 5 with 13MP Dual rear Camera and 4GB RAM Announced

Micromax Dual 5 Dual Camera phone has been officially launched in India today on Wednesday, it is mid-range dual rear camera smartphone comes with 13MP dual rear camera Sony sensors with 4K video recording and the Fingerprint sensor. The handset is available in Gold color variant and Micromax Dual 5 price in India is set to Rs. 24,999 – approximately $385 and it will go on sale from April 10th via Flipkart store.

Micromax Dual 5 Specifications

This is a first dual camera phone from the Micromax mobile company along with the Micromax Dual 4 due to be launched soon. The Micromax Dual 5 features a 13-megapixel dual rear autofocus camera sensor from Sony IMX258 with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, and dual-tone LED flash. One camera sensor for monochrome light and the other for RGB, a color temperature sensor is used to optimally merges the two captured images. One of the camera sensors is tasked with focus and the other is tasked with capturing depth of field information.

The dual camera mode is enabled by default on the Dual 5, and enables other modes like Bokeh Mode and Low-Light Mode. Other camera modes include Pano, Pro, Slow Shutter, Anti-Haze, Macro, and Monochrome. It also captures video in 4K UHD resolution, while the company is touting 3D video functionality thanks to the dual rear cameras.

For selfie, there is a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel Sony IMX258 sensor, a soft selfie flash module and an integrated SmartBeauty mode, along with gesture control, and a GIF maker support. The device also comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the back to unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds.

Display is a 5.5-inches AMOLED panel with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 100% NTSC color gamut and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it. The device built from a single slab of aircraft-grade aluminium. New Micromax phones powered by a a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 MSM8976 SoC (4 Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz) paired with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, a 128GB of inbuilt storage without any external microSD card slot.

The Micromax Dual 5 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and packs a 3200mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity, includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-C, and 3.5 mm audio jack options.
