Today is the market of the Smartphone with metal unibody design, luxurious style and various color options to choose so Meizu Phones has followed all these steps and launched a similar product named Meizu Metal, but the price tag is very affordable only CNY 1,099 – approximately $170.
A metal monolith design is mainstream for mid-range and budget product lines in 2015. Meizu also brought this new product which entirely made in metallic materials, that also representative of the Meizu Blue Charm lineup such as Meizu m1, m1 note, Meizu m2 and m2 note. Meizu Metal is quite similar to recently launched Meizu’s MX5 with little high price because of 3GB RAM and 20.7-megapixel camera.
Meizu Metal is equipped with 5.5-inch screen, Full HD 1920×1080 pixels resolution with LTPS Display Technology. It has a 2.5D curved glass screen that also protected by T2X-1 glass. The device is powered by 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 SoC, 2.0GHz Octa-core processor and backed by PowerVR G6200 GPU along with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM for more horsepower.
The Meizu Metal features a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back with dual-tone LED flash, it bears f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and 5P lenses to capture sharp and beautiful images. While on front, it has a 5-megapixel shooter to take a bright selfies. The device also comes with a fingerprint sensor on front in Home button with faster identify speed up to 0.48 seconds.
Meizu also stressed the screen on Metal owns contrast ratio of 1000:1 and brightness back-light with up to 450 nits. The Meizu Metal runs Flyme 5.1 characterized by Meizu, a customizable interface based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS along with Meizu also announced new YunOS or AliyunOS version with Flyme 5 UI on top.
Meizu Metal will available in two internal storage versions such as 16GB priced at CNY 1,099 – approximately $170 and 32GB at CNY 1,299 – approximately $204. There are so many color options to choose such as Green, Yellow, Gray, Pink and White.
