Meike launches 7.5mm F2.8 Fisheye lens for APS-C cameras

The Meike is not new to the creation of various optics, including fisheye lenses. Our newsfeed also lists several of the company’s lenses, including the 6.5mm f2, 3.5mm f2.8 for the MFT, and even the 8mm f3.5 fisheye for Canon and Nikon. However, as time goes by, new mirrorless mounts appear, and they also need a fish eye lens. And if you need it, no problem – Meike 7.5mm F2.8 is here.

If APS-C sensor support for Fujifilm X, Nikon Z, Sony E cameras, and the MFTs that joined them is expected, then Canon EF-M is a bit strange to see in this list – why not RF? Canon’s mirrorless development vector is obvious today, and we already even know not only the names of the models and their characteristics but even what Canon’s new products will look like. Although many users will not mind buying an inexpensive fish mount for their EF-M mirrorless camera, why not make them happy, Meike marketers decided and included the EF-M in the list of supported mounts.

Now a few words about the lens: a manual focus fisheye is built from 11 elements in 9 groups and has multi-coated elements in its design. Clicking aperture ring, F2.8 to F16 aperture range, 15cm minimum focusing distance, a full-frame equivalent focal length of 12mm, 15mm for MFT. Viewing angles for APS-C are diagonal 190°, horizontal 161.8°, and vertical 106.5°, for MFT: diagonal 146.4°, horizontal 118°, vertical 89.2°.
