Meike has released a portrait lens. The Meike 55mm F1.8 Pro X with autofocus for Fujifilm X-Mount cameras. Previously, this 55mm lens portrait photography was available for Sony E, Nikon Z, and L-mount bayonet mounts. It has a nine-blade aperture, weighs 365 grams, and is quite large. The cost is $330. According to the manufacturer, the lens’s advanced optical design allows for 8K sensor resolution.

The lens’s optical design consists of 11 elements in 8 groups (including two ED lenses, two high refractive index lenses, and one ultra-high refractive index lens to control chromatic aberrations, halos, and flares effectively). It also has a 9-blade diaphragm.
One of the main features of this lens is the advanced autofocus. Meike reports that it works well, that is, quickly and without noise, which could be recorded if an on-camera microphone was used.
The lens is said to have a minimum focusing distance of 55cm and is equipped with a front filter thread for a diameter of 58mm. The new Meike AF 55mm F1.8 Pro has two control rings: focus (wide) and aperture (narrow).
