Meike has introduced a 50mm F0.95 lens for mirrorless cameras with an APS-C sensor. In terms of full-frame, the focal length will be about 80 mm (100 mm for MFT), it is available for Canon EF-M, Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds, Nikon Z, and Sony E mounts.
Meike has a 50mm F1.2 manual lens for full-frame APS-C camera models with Nikon Z, Sony E, Canon RF, Canon EF, and Leica L mounts, there is also a 50mm f1.7 fixed for Nikon Z, also full-frame and also with manual management.
The new Meike 50mm F0.95 lens has an amazing aperture of F0.95 and is designed for Canon EF-M, Fujifilm X, MFT, Nikon Z, and Sony E mounts on APS-C camera models. Once again, carefully rereading the list of mounts, we are surprised at the absence of Canon RF, because already for a long time and quite officially, two cameras with a cropped matrix for this mount have been presented at once, and the mount itself is far from new, and we most likely will not see new EF-M cameras anymore, there was just news about it. Let’s leave this fact on the conscience of the developers.
The optical design of the lens consists of 7 elements in 5 groups, aperture range from F0.95 to F16, aperture with 13 blades, minimum focusing distance of 45cm, filter thread 62mm, and lens weight of 420g.
Price and availability
The advertised price is $249 / £259.99. For some reason, the Micro Four Thirds and Sony E mount lenses are listed on the Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk online stores.
