Megadap ETZ21 Sony E to Nikon Z

Megadap has now launched the second generation of their adapter, the ETZ21. With it, photographers can easily use Sony E-mount lenses on their Nikon Z cameras – without any restrictions. The camera adapter is compatible with Nikon Z full-frame cameras and is the only one also compatible with Nikon models with APS-C format sensors. (By the way, Megadap also offers an adapter for lenses with a Leica M mount on Nikon Z cameras. Interestingly, the adapter enables autofocus with the manual focus lenses.)

The adapter recognizes and takes over the autofocus and other functions of lenses with the E-mount – be they from Sony or other lens manufacturers. The functions include, for example, the automatic aperture, button switching of the AF/MF mode, or the storage of the lens EXIF data.

Most E-mount lenses from Sony, Tamron, Zeiss (extended compatibility with Zeiss-Batis and Zeiss-Touit), Sigma, Voigtlander, Samyang, and other third-party manufacturers, as well as manual focus lenses (with or without chips) can be used. Stable focusing performance, pleasantly soft focusing during video recording, and the activation of manual focusing of lenses are guaranteed.

Megadap has upgraded the hardware and software on this 2nd generation adapter to improve focusing speed and accuracy for trouble-free working. It is also the first adapter compatible with manual lenses without electronic chips.

The camera’s internal stabilization (IBIS) thanks to the moving image sensor of the camera supports face, eye, and animal detection AF in the AF-S/AF-C/AF-F/Pinpoint/MF modes, as well as automatic aperture control and aperture coupling. Smooth, real-time focus tracking is possible with the ETZ21. It also applies to interval timer recording, time-lapse movies, and focus shift recording.

Megadap ETZ21 price and availability

The Megadap ETZ21 Sony E to Nikon Z autofocus adapter is available from Bhphotovideo.com and Adorama.com online retailers at $249, and the first delivery of the new camera adapter will start soon.
