The QNAP catalog has been expanded with the new QSW-M5216-1T managed network switch. Its configuration includes 16 25GbE (SFP28) ports and one 10GbE (RJ45) port. In addition, there is a 1GbE port for managing the switch.
The QNAP QSW-M5216-1T has a combined switching capacity of 820Gbps and a non-blocking throughput of 410 Gbps. All 25Gb/s SFP28 ports are backward compatible with 10Gb/s SFP+ network cards. The RJ45 port supports 100Mbps, 1Gbps, and up to 10Gbps, and in addition to the 1Gbps management port, there is an RS232 serial port. The QSW-M5216-1T switch allows you to combine four ports into a channel with a bandwidth of 100 Gbps.
The QSW-M5216-1T managed network switch can serve as the core switch uplinking to 25G/100G Servers and NAS in server rooms or connecting to 25G/10G edge fiber switches. Along with sixteen 25GbE SFP28 fiber ports, the QSW-M5216-1T has one 10GBASE-T port for enabling hybrid high-speed networks. Its 25GbE SFP28 interfaces are backward compatible with 10GbE SFP+/1GbE SFP, and 10GbE RJ45 is compatible with NBASE-T technologies to support five speeds (10G / 5G / 2.5G / 1G / 100M).
Because it is a Layer 2 Managed Switch, it supports features such as LACP. VLAN, QoS, and ICMP snooping, as well as several other features inherent in this type of switch. In this case, the power consumption does not exceed 35 watts. With its smart cooling system, the QSW-M5216-1T ensures high-speed network performance without distracting background noise.
