MSI MAG325CQRXF E2 31.5″ 240Hz HDR Curved Gaming Monitor

The Taiwanese company MSI has unveiled a sister model of the MAG 325CQRXF WQHD curved display, released in 2023. The new MAG325CQRXF E2 has a few better, but mostly significantly worse, key data than its predecessor. A 31.5-inch gaming monitor uses a Rapid VA panel with WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), 240 Hz refresh rate, 1000R curvature, and 3500:1 instead of 4000:1 contrast.

In addition, 300 instead of 400 cd/m² typical brightness, 0.5 instead of 1 ms response time (gray to gray), and 10-bit color depth (8 bit + FRC) are promised. While the 2023 device has a DisplayHDR 400 and FreeSync Premium certification, the new 240Hz gaming monitor only mentions HDR ready and Adaptive Sync. It is still unclear whether an MPRT sync feature, which allows the simultaneous use of anti-tearing and anti-blur, will be included again.

However, an AI-supported black stabilizer (AI Vision) and a smart crosshair overlay are present. On the interface side, there are two HDMI 2.0b inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4a, a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 15-watt PD. The MAG 325CQRXF E2, however, does not have USB ports or a KVM switch. The full 240 Hz is only possible on the DisplayPort and USB-C, and on HDMI it is limited to up to 144 Hz.

Regarding ergonomics, the MSI MAG325CQRXF E2 has tilt, height adjustment, and rotation as adjustment functions. Also included is a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), a blue light filter, and a flicker-reduced backlight. The color space coverage is 123 percent sRGB, 96 percent DCI-P3, and 92 percent Adobe RGB.

MSI MAG325CQRXF E2 price and release date

This new HDR gaming display from MSI is now available for pre-order on Bhphptovideo for $399.99 and $419.99 on Adorama.
