The MSI MAG 275CQRF QD gaming monitor, unveiled last year, has been succeeded by an improved model. The new MSI MAG 275CQRF QD E2 retains the 27-inch diagonal size and features a Rapid VA panel with WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels).
The MSI 27-inch curved monitor features a refresh rate of 180Hz, surpassing the standard 170Hz. It offers an impressive contrast ratio of 5000:1, compared to the typical 4000:1, and boasts a rapid 0.5ms response time (gray to gray), significantly better than the usual 1ms. Additionally, the monitor incorporates advanced quantum dot technology for enhanced backlighting.
The display curvature is no longer quite as extreme at 1500 instead of 1000 R. According to the specs, you can also expect 10-bit color depth (8 bit + FRC), 150% sRGB, 97% Adobe RGB, 97% DCI-P3 and 300 cd/m² typical brightness.
Adaptive Sync ensures tear-free gaming. HDR support has also been considered, but this is unlikely to be particularly convincing due to the lack of dimming and the moderate brightness.
As usual, the range of interfaces consists of two HDMI 2.0b inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4a, a USB 2.0 hub, a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 15-watt PD. A full 180Hz refresh rate is achievable only through DisplayPort connections, while HDMI supports a maximum of 144Hz.
The ergonomic features include tilt, rotation, height adjustment, VESA mount (75 x 75 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-reduced backlighting.

The MSI MAG 275CQRF QD E2 features AI Vision and a smart crosshair overlay. It weighs 3.8 kg without the stand and includes a firmware update function. This monitor is currently available on Amazon for $296.99 and Newegg for $279.99.
