The Taiwanese manufacturer MSI has introduced a new QHD 2K gaming monitor. The MAG 271QPX E2 is a related model, not an upgrade, to the MSI MAG 271QPX (approx. $721 on Amazon). The latter offers WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) at up to 360 Hz, while the new 26.5-inch 1440p 2K model will be limited to a maximum of 240 Hz.
The current generation QD-OLED panel promises a 0.03 ms grayscale and offers DisplayHDR True Black 400. The MSI 2K 240Hz gaming monitor is also said to have HDMI 2.1, KVM functionality, and a fanless custom heatsink.
The MSI MAG 271QPX E2 comes with OLED Care 2.0, which has various mechanisms to prevent burn-in effects. The company also includes a three-year warranty for these items.
The new WQHD 2K monitor offers several impressive features. Firstly, it includes Adaptive Sync and AI Vision. Additionally, it supports ALLM and ClearMR 13 000. Moreover, the monitor boasts VRR and a convenient crosshair overlay. Furthermore, it comes with a five-way joystick. To top it off, it covers 98% of Adobe RGB and 99.1% of DCI-P3.
The MSI MAG 271QPX E2 boasts a range of connectivity options, including two HDMI 2.1 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.4, a USB-C port with DisplayPort support, and a headphone output. Additionally, the screen offers versatile adjustments: it can be tilted, rotated, adjusted in height, and pivoted.
