Mackie introduces two new wireless microphones, but they are not primarily intended for the stage. Rather, the focus is on podcasts, videos, or live streams. EleMent Wave is available in two versions, one with built-in lavalier microphones and one with an XLR microphone connector.
The new introduction consists of the two wireless microphones called Wave LAV and Wave XLR. Both mini XLR lavalier microphone models promise “Mackie sound” and are primarily aimed at content and video production or live streaming.
EleMent Wave LAV is a compact microphone system with 2.4 GHz technology, which is supposed to provide a clean and reliable transmission up to a distance of 70 meters. The transmitter has an integrated built-in microphone and offers a mute function, level control, and a connection for the supplied lavalier mic. The receiver is equipped with a headphone jack equipped and connects the touch of a button with the microphone. An internal battery promises an operating time of up to seven hours.
The Wave XLR offers the same basic technical data and features as the LAV model, but instead of the Lavalier microphones, it has an XLR socket for connecting dynamic handheld microphones. The EleMent Wave LAV is a complete system that lets you capture great-sounding dialogue, interviews, and speech. It includes a compact and lightweight clip-on transmitter with its own built-in microphone for quick grab-and-go situations.
Mackie reports that up to six systems can be operated simultaneously in the same location without interference problems. The EleMent Wave wireless microphones want to make teamwork as comfortable as possible. For a truly wireless experience, the transmitter can be clipped on clothing without having to wire yourself or your talent. You can also hold the transmitter in your hand and use it as a handheld microphone.

Both Mackie EleMent Wave Wireless Lavalier Microphone and XLR Microphone systems have been priced at $199 each and they can be purchased via Amazon.com, Adorama.com, and Bhphotovideo.com online retailers.
